Recipe Ingredients

Vanilla extract – Just 2-3 drops boosts the overall flavor and helps round out the tang of the yogurt. It’s also perfect for stirring into the instant coffee insuring the granules dissolve completely.

Fat-free plain Greek yogurt – The creamy base of this recipe, Greek yogurt is high in protein and has a thick, rich texture. Its tangy flavor balances the sweetness of the chocolate and mocha, while keeping the dish light and low in fat. It’s a great source of calcium and probiotics, which support gut health.

Unsweetened cocoa powder – Provides a deep, chocolaty flavor without any added sugar. It’s rich in antioxidants and adds a satisfying richness to the yogurt.

Instant coffee granules – A quick and easy way to infuse a bold coffee flavor, instant coffee dissolves completely and enhances the mocha profile of this recipe. It can be bitter so use just a little.

Truvia sweetener – My sweetener of choice or your favorite non calorie sweetener, such as monkfruit, Splenda, stevia, etc. Truvia is approximately twice as sweet as sugar, so you generally use half as much Truvia as you would sugar when substituting. You may need more if using a sweetener that measures 1:1 for sugar.

2 teaspoons sugar-free dark chocolate chips, finely chopped (such as Lily’s or Believe)- Adds little bursts of texture and indulgence to the yogurt. You could also grate or chop a sugar free chocolate yogurt bar to fill two teaspoons.
